Dr. Claude Swanson, presenter for L.I.F.E. Inspired Lecture 2, is a physicist educated at MIT and Princeton University and was awarded the National Science Foundation Fellowship and Putnam Fellowship by Princeton.  His postgraduate work was conducted at Princeton and Cornell Universities.

Dr. Swanson has served on the Board of Directors of the Monroe Institute (TMI), and of the International Society for the Study of Subtle Energy and Energy Medicine (ISSSEEM). He is also Past President of the Forever Family Foundation, and former faculty member at the California Institute of Human Science (CIHS).

Dr. Swanson has pursued investigations into “unconventional physics.” His principal interest has been unified field theory, the so-called “Theory of Everything” which could explain the universe at the deepest possible level. This knowledge led Dr. Swanson’s to conduct extensive investigations into the energies of consciousness, its non-local properties, and how Western science can be expanded to include its effects.  This energy has been called Chi by Traditional Chinese Medicine, prana by Hindu yogis, and “torsion” by modern Russian scientists. It has been applied to a scientific analysis of the aura, for example, and it reveals fundamental aspects of the acupuncture system and how it facilitates life and growth. This may be the key to long range healing, explaining how forces can be exerted over long distances. These energies also appear to be central to many spiritual phenomena and may offer a bridge between the materialistic and the spiritual aspects of healing and growth.
